Album number 10 this year for Goatshoes does what the previous nine do so well which is to fearlessly explore the dimensions of layering, relentlessly come up with innovative drum "beats", and create such joyous and peaceful ambient music as well. While the almost complete majority of the electronic genre uses sample after sample from websites to create their tracks, (which is a fine and interesting idea and I am not putting them down) for I have reviewed many beautiful albums from artists who work this way, Goatshoes creates each beat and each note on his projects from scratch. From the first kick drum to the last warm chord of the violin. It's a lot of work and it's noticeable. Well, congrats Gino! Ten is a bit nutty for only half a year! Please don't run out of gas!!
